Shaping Spaces for Healing with Urban Design Forum

 

Barrett participated in Urban Design Forum’s ‘Spaces for Healing’ working group roundtable where, after months of discussion, research, and an open exchange of ideas, the fellows shared during a public forum recommendations to design public spaces guided by the trauma informed design principles of Safety, Choice, and Community.

The resulting platform from this work can be downloaded at the Urban Design Forum website linked below, and it describes 73 Ideas for a Healthier New York City which were formulated by a multidisciplinary group of fellow.
